Supercharge your Frontly app's functionality by integrating with the Zapier automation platform.

NOTE: This integration requires you to have a paid Zapier account to make use of the Webhooks By Zapier app to receive the request from Frontly.

For this action to show in your actions interface, you will also need to toggle this setting on from the 'Integrations' tab in your app settings.

With this simple integration, you can trigger 'Zaps' (multi-step workflow automations) in Zapier, which can integrate with 6,000+ commonly used software platforms.

Scenario

A user submits a Form in your Frontly app, which triggers a 'Zap', passing information that the user entered in the form.

This Zap could add the user to your third-party email marketing platform's mailing list, send them a welcome email, then update values in another third-party software like your e-commerce store, fulfillment software, or almost anything else you can think of.

You can trigger this action from anywhere in the app that supports actions, such as a Table row / Grid card click, Button click, Form submission, User Signup event, and more.

Configuring The Zap

In Zapier, create a 'Zap', and for the first step, select the 'Webhooks by Zapier' app:

In the configuration, choose the 'Catch Hook' option:

Once you set up the Catch Hook step, you should receive a Webhook URL like the one below:

Copy this URL to paste it into Frontly as you configure the action.

Frontly Action Setup

When configuring an action, select the Zapier option:

Paste your URL from zapier into the 'Webhook URL' field:

To pass variables from Frontly into your Zap, you can add them in the 'Values' field:

Note that you can use static values or dynamic variables as shown in the screenshot above.

Defining Variables In Zapier

In your Zap, during the setup, you will have the option to 'Test' the zap. At that time, you can trigger your zap in Frontly, which will allow Zapier to detect the data being sent from the values fields.

Once that's complete, whenever you're editing a value for your Zap, you'll see these variables appear as options in a pop up window:

That's it! You can use these input values in your automation and trigger some amazing business workflows directly from Frontly.
